Omkar Wakchaure

Omkar works as a resource of Electric Mobility Team in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh in a policy-building space with Directorate of Urban Administration and Development, Government of Madhya Pradesh(GoMP). His work includes consulting with the Government of MP for State Electric Vehicle Policy, State Urban Parking Policy, City Specific Bus Electrification Roadmaps, Zero Emission Trucks Transition and implementation of other initiatives in Electric & Sustainable Urban Mobility. Omkar has also worked with FSR Global as an intern focusing on Green Hydrogen Ecosystem in India. Before that, Omkar contributed his work in the organisations like Grassroot Research and Advocacy Movement (GRAAM), Integrated Rural Development Society and Centre for Public Policy Research (CPPR) in different domains like Blue Economy and impact of Panchami Land rights on Dalit Migration in Tamil Nadu. Omkar has completed his Master’s in Public Policy from National Law School of India University, Bangalore which is a 2 years post-graduation course. His areas of interest lie in working in sustainable urban transport to make transport more feasible, accessible, and less stressful for all sorts of people.
