Villages in India are vulnerable and at-risk of climate change impacts like increasing temperatures over a longer duration, variation in intensity and frequency of rainfall, disasters like heatwaves, droughts, and cold waves, etc. This further critically impacts the Gram Panchayats’ agriculture, water resources/supply, health, energy, livelihood, environment, and biodiversity. Thus, there is an urgent need to make Gram Panchayats climate-proof, smart, resilient, and sustainable.
