Sustainable development and equity are two important factors that help in formulating climate change policies. This project aims at creating an environment that addresses the issues of operationalization ‘equity’ and the principal of ‘Common But Differentiated Responsibilities and Respective Capabilities’ at UNFCCC by changing the Indian political and policy narrative from a ‘carbon space entitlement approach’ to a ‘development need based approach’.

It assess the living standards in India and gives us a broad overview on how far away Indians are from attaining ‘Decent Standards of Living’.
